The 22nd China International Semiconductor Expo is about to be held, and the semiconductor industry ETF (159582) saw a nearly 1% intraday correction
From November 23rd to 25th, the 22nd China International Semiconductor Expo (IC China 2025) with the theme of "Consolidating Core Strength and Chain Moving Future", hosted by the China Semiconductor Industry Association and the China Electronics Information Industry Development Research Institute, and organized by Beijing CCID Publishing Media (7.680, -0.01, -0.13%) Co., Ltd., will be unveiled at the National Convention Center in Beijing.
AI servers have high power consumption, and data centers require higher power supply architectures. In order to cope with higher end AI computing, the efficiency and power density of each link in the server power supply system need to be further improved. Third generation semiconductor materials such as SiC/GaN have characteristics such as high breakdown electric field and high mobility, allowing the material to operate at higher temperatures and voltages, reducing energy consumption and costs. At present, top manufacturers are continuously promoting the application of SiC/GaN in the field of AI data centers. Dongfang Securities (10.770, -0.02, -0.19%) pointed out that looking ahead, SiC/GaN is expected to be widely applied in the future, as the demand for high-power power supply in AI servers and data centers continues to increase.
